TITAN INVITE The Stark County Rebels Boys and Girls Cross Country teams went to the Dunes Golf Course just outside of Kewanee on Tuesday (Sept. 3rd) to compete in the Annawan-Wethersfield Titan Invite. With temperatures in the middle 80's and high humidity, both teams ran slower than at last week's Farmington Invite. The Boys had only 4 runners competing in the Invite. Alex Welch once again led the way finishing 18th overall with a time of 19:10. Also running for the boys were Caden Daum (20:31 - 34th), Brett Browning (22:08 - 61st) and Rilley Bowen (22:55 - 74th). The Rebel Girls came home with a plaque finishing 2nd behind Class 2A Geneseo in the team race. Olivia Frail (21:34 - 4th) was the first across the finish line for the Girls. Other scorers for the Girls were Trinity Shimmin (23:21 - 17th), Paige Rewerts (23:36 - 20th), Alyssa Dyken (23:41 - 21st) and Lena Becker (23:49 - 22nd). Also running for the Girls was Sarah Fairfield (27:14 - 34th). Alex, Olivia, Trinity and Paige received medals for finishing in the Top 20 in their respective races. There was 14 school participating in the Invite with the Girls race having 70 finishers and the Boys race having 102 finishers.
